Get to Know Me

Robin Blanche is a Master of Social Work intern at Gulf Coast Behavioral Health and a graduate student at Louisiana State University. Before entering the mental health field, Robin built a career helping people tell their stories—as a published novelist, screenwriter, and writing instructor. Those experiences deepened her appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the healing that can come from feeling truly heard.

Robin believes that therapy works best within a genuine, collaborative relationship where clients feel safe, respected, and understood. She takes a person-centered approach while integrating evidence-based practices to meet each client’s unique needs. Her goal is to help clients navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, self-compassion, and confidence while building lasting emotional well-being.

Robin has a special interest in working with adolescents, teens, and adults experiencing:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Stress and burnout
  • Life transitions
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-esteem and identity
  • Addiction and recovery
  • Women’s mental health across the lifespan, including pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and other significant life transitions

Outside of the therapy room, Robin enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, and finding inspiration in the stories of the people and places she encounters.

Robin provides counseling services under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker while completing her Master of Social Work degree at Louisiana State University.
