If you could read your journal entry for two weeks in the future, what do you think it would say? This is a type of Narrative Therapy that can be useful for two reasons. First, it helps you understand what you want to accomplish and what your short-term values and goals are. Second, it helps you understand that you have control over the future! Life has its ups and downs and can be chaotic. However, it is also very predictable. We can largely determine what will be written in our book of life. What will your journal say in two weeks? Become the author of your future. What will your journal say in a year? In five years? You can be excited about the fact that you get to write this story.
